Alison Wearing’s first book was the bestselling, internationally acclaimed travel memoir Honeymoon in Purdah: an Iranian Journey. Her latest project, Confessions of a Fairy’s Daughter: growing up with a gay dad, is both a one-woman show and a memoir. The show has won awards across North America and the book was long-listed for the RBC Taylor Prize for Non-Fiction.
Originally from Peterborough, Alison is now based in Stratford, Ontario.
