Sheree Fitch

Sheree Fitch is a storyteller, educator, literacy advocate and the author of over thirty award winning poetry, picture books, nonfiction, plays and novels for all ages. Titles include, The Gravesavers (Y/A), Sleeping Dragons All Around, Kiss The Joy As It Flies.  In 1998, she was the recipient of the Vicky Metcalf Award for Children’s Literature for a body of work inspirational to Canadian children. She lives in River John, Nova Scotia where she was 2013-2014 Writer- in- Residence with the Pictou-Antigonish Library. She is co-editing a treasury of Atlantic Poetry for children and working on a new novel which will be published by Doubleday Canada. She also studied at Atlantic School of Theology taking a course entitled The Narrative of Margaret Laurence through a theological lens.
